Business Festival events now taking bookings
Tickets can now be booked for the events in the Black Country Business Festival (BCBF) as the brochure goes live today [10 September].
BCBF kicks off in just under a month, starting on 4 October. It contains around 80 events which are a mixture of in-person and digital events.
The full programme is now on the website www.blackcountrybusinessfestival.com where tickets can also be booked.
Events include an exclusive tour of the new development at Black Country Living Museum, Forging Ahead. In collaboration with Balfour Beatty, insights will be shared into what this development means for both the Museum and the wider Black Country economy, as well as the unique aspects of the project like the translocations of the Woodside Library.
Equality and diversity have been hot topics in recent years, and Steps to Work is hosting an event that will highlight the importance of cognitive diversity in a business. Attendees will reap the rewards of gaining new ideas and perspectives that they could have otherwise missed out on.
Festival sponsor, Sandwell Metropolitan Council, has partnered with construction company, Wates, to share the latest updates on the new £73 million Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick. There will be exclusive drone footage of the state-of-the-art leisure facility.
Corin Crane, CEO of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, says “We are so excited for BCBF 2021. It was great to see all the digital events last year, but we are over the moon to have some in-person events again this year.
“This is a crucial time in the recovery of the UK economy and the Festival once again highlights the innovation and best practice taking place in businesses across the region
“There are nearly 80 events in the programme which is brilliant. These cover a whole range of topics from reducing carbon emissions, managing a hybrid workforce to factory tours and closing the skills gap. There is something for everyone. Tickets for all events are now available, so take a look at the website and sign up!”
Nearly every event is free to attend, but all tickets must be booked in advance.
