Webinar to help with Business Festival event applications


Free help for businesses aiming to submit a Black Country Business Festival event application, will be happening on Tuesday 12 February from 2-3pm via an on-line webinar.

A webinar is simple way of carrying out an on-line presentation or demonstration, providing information and enabling real-time discussions using computer webcams and chat systems.

It means people can get the information they need without leaving their desks or going to another venue.

Anyone can connect into the free webinar by clicking the link on the home page of the Black Country Business Festival website at 2pm on 12th February.

Alister de Ternant, managing director of Associate Events - the company that running the Business Festival on behalf of the Black Country Chamber, explained, “We are holding this webinar for those that need more help with the Business Festival event application process and perhaps missed the ‘How to host a great event’ workshop in December.

“We will be doing a live event application demonstration so people can get a feel for the information they will need to supply to complete the form, as well as providing ideas on some of things to think about when putting on an event.”

The Business Festival, taking place from 13 to 24 May, was established and seed-funded by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce to help local businesses to grow and develop

There are more than 100 events expected to take place in the fortnight.

It is completely free to run an event in the Business Festival and anyone can apply to do so. Events can be about any topic that could affect or help a business, and they can take any form such as expos, seminars, workshops, new product demonstrations, webinars and conferences.

Applications must be submitted by 4 March via the website, www.blackcountrybusinessfestival.com/apply
