New year, new time to boost business

(Press release)

With the turn of the new year, businesses have a fantastic opportunity for a new injection of energy by getting involved in the 2019 Black Country Business Festival.

This exciting, annual two-week festival of business - running from 13 to 24 May, puts the entire Black Country in the national spotlight, promoting the region’s innovation, culture and commerce, showcasing the best of what Black Country business has to offer. With a remarkable circulation of 168 million, reaching over 51 million people, the Black Country Business Festival is the perfect opportunity for business to not only be placed in front of the entire region but the whole nation.

In 2018 the Festival saw over 5,000 people attend more than 100 superb business events of all sizes, subjects and descriptions that ranged from conferences, seminars, premises tours and expos to workshops, product demonstrations and debates.

Businesses now have the opportunity to get involved in the 2019 Festival. This could be by running an event, becoming a venue partner, a sponsor or by simply going along to one, two or several of the free events on offer over the fortnight. It is completely free to run an event and applications are being taken via the website, www.blackcountrybusinessfestival.com until 4 March.

The BCBF was established and seed-funded by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Chief Executive, Corin Crane, said, “There are no limits to getting involved in the Black Country Business Festival: it’s an opportunity that could bring endless benefits. Whether you are looking to grow your supply chain, find new clients, market a new product or service, develop your employees or learn new skills, there will be something you can get out of being involved in the Business Festival. I would urge people to visit www.blackcountrybusinessfestival.com today to find out more.”

Last year, national audit, tax, advisory and risk firm, Crowe, were involved running and attending several events. In 2019, Crowe has become a Business Festival sponsor. Advanced Manufacturing Sector Lead for the Festival and Crowe’s Midlands Managing Partner, Johnathan Dudley said: “We’re delighted to support the Black Country Business Festival for a second year. Being based in the Black Country we work with a lot of local businesses and see firsthand the great work they do! As a region we have a lot to shout about, the festival brings everyone together allowing us to collaborate, share ideas and showcase what we have to offer to the rest of the UK and the world.”

Crowe is joined by a number of other key partners and sponsors. Solicitors, Talbots Law, DY5 - Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone and Birmingham Airport have signed up as Festival partners, whilst Casino 36 have confirmed their commitment for the next two years as a sponsor. Official Business Festival supporters include Wolverhampton Racecourse; Crowe; Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and Sandwell Council. Sponsorship opportunities are still available which could bring a wealth of benefits such as new leads and increased exposure.
