Business Support & Communications
Business Support and Communications is a diverse sector comprising services that tend to be classified under other areas like creative and professional services. This includes professions such as PR, media, advertising, marketing, social media, web and digital as well as business support services like recruitment, leadership and training and start-up support, for example.
These services are needed by a cross-section of industries and therefore tend to be very popular in the Business Festival both as events and also with attendees. It is, for this reason, this is a standalone sector in the Festival.
There is a wide range of comprehensive support available to businesses in the Black Country through several routes.
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is a members' organisation that helps businesses to achieve more by connecting them with decision-makers, opportunities and other businesses.
Similarly, the FSB aims to help smaller businesses achieve their ambitions, offering members help and advice on a wide range of vital business services including financial expertise and a powerful voice in government.
The Black Country Growth Hub is a free signposting service funded by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. It helps with everything from apprenticeships and training, to funding and exporting to help new startups or existing businesses in the Black Country to grow and develop.
